Would I be able to sue Google?

Ok so on Google map's direction page, they have a picture of my house, business, and cars. I haven't given anyone permission to take pictures, can I sue them? I don't want those pictures to be on there.Would I be able to sue Google?
We are a litigious society...you can sue whomever you want.
ok, lol @ other answers. the correct answer is that NO you can't sue them. anyone can legally take a picture from a public place like a road. if you don't want something being seen from a road, then you should hide it from the road as far as laws are concerned.

but i think you can trust your intuition on this one. if it where illegal, and everyone in the entire world could get money from them they wouldn't have done it. the people that run google are very smart and have tons of lawyers, thats part of the reason why they are doing so well in business.Would I be able to sue Google?
The asker is most likely referring to the StreetView option on Google Maps. This service is of panoramic photos of an area around a photographing vehicle that's traveling public roads and taking pictures every few meters.Anyone in the world could do the same thing on a smaller scale so I know you wouldn't get anywhere by suing Google.I believe there was a attempted lawsuit against Google but if did nothing substantial.I personally feel that if you think people will desire to view a lone snapshot and it really will hurt you than there are other problems than Google for you.Would I be able to sue Google?
No, you can't. Aerial photographs and satellite feeds are free domain. I know this because my aunt was a pilot who consulted for the Department of Transportation and some other places like this. She was often tasked to take aerial photos for road work, and "private" domains were often part of that. They become property of the department who allows Google to use them for their aerial sites. Sorry.
you can sue anybody for anything, the odds of winning your case are very slim though. What does it hurt having photos on Google Earth? Can people see your house when they drive by or fly over in an airplane? Do you have something to hide?
Unless you're a paying member of googleearth, the satellite pics are several years old. The pic of my house is before my privacy fence went up several years ago. No you can't sue, btw.
When you go on vacation, do you ask the owners of the places you visit before taking pictures?

Get over it, work for your money, and stop crying
I don't know about sue them unless you got a few $$$ but you can certainly ask them to remove the photos. Is it part of google earth 3D? blank out numberplates, good free publicity for business?
The pics are from a satellite. Everyone and everything is on there now. Do not think there is much you can do about it.
sure, why not, give it a shot - you probably have a better team of lawyers than Google does.
Nope free domain from satallite pics. Sorry bud but you're out of luck. If you want to pursue the case, I would suggest an attorney.
why didn't you cover your house with a tarp like the rest of us?
