Why, when I type something in on google maps does it sometimes come up with something like "kayak across Ocean?

Like, if you type in from Japan to the U.S., one of the directions is something ridiculously hard like "Kayak from Japan to Hawaii, or from China to Japan it says to jet ski across the pacific ocean. I think this is hilarious, but why does it do this? I think google thinks if you ask it something stupid it will tell you something stupid back... how are you meant to get from usa to japan... try a plane
